You just took over an online sock store. Traffic looks healthy, but the P&L is bleeding: last month it spent $500 on ads, got 5,000 visitors, and made $200 in sales.
Each month you set the ad budget, the price per pair, and how much you invest in trust (reviews, returns policy, site polish). Conversion responds to price and trust. You start with limited cash — run out and you're done. Reach the end of the year with cumulative profit and you win.
